It's important that you choose the right words to use, as it's common for students to use too many words. A good rule of thumb is to use words on the length scale of one to two words. You want to also be careful not to use too few, as this will make your essay seem too short and thin. When you begin, you will be tempted to write using more words per page than the word count allows. While this isn't going to make your essay shorter, it can cause it to look cramped. This will also cause it to feel like it didn't take you too long to write it. Remember, the goal is to make it flow easily from the beginning to the end of the essay. You don't want to get to the end and be confused about where you ended up.The number of words per page will depend upon the subject matter of your essay. You may want to adjust your word count up or down depending on the length of your essay. Also, the length of your essay will also determine how many words per page you should use.One way to decide how many words per page you should use is to look at the size of the paper you're writing on. At the end of the essay , the emphasis needs to be on the point you wish to make. It's not necessary to keep your word count high throughout the essay. Using too many words per page can seem messy, so sticking to a couple of different word lengths will help you keep things tidy. Don't use too many common words like 'and'so.' Just try to include a variety of words that have several meanings.Once you have chosen the number of words per page, you'll need to make sure you use them properly in your essay. Before you submit it, always read through it and make sure you've followed the rules of your essay. By following these tips, you'll be able to come up with a great essay and not have it fall apart because you used too many words!

The System Of Reciprocity And Its Impact On Society s...

Entrepreneurship in its most basic form has fueled thousands of innovations, forming the society we live in today. However, the introduction of currency changed the system of reciprocity, which ultimately negatively impacted society’s perception of these entrepreneurs. Due to factors of greed, inflation, competition, and the desire for financial stability, the introduction of currency has shrewd the system of reciprocity and therefore given entrepreneurs a negative reputation. As a common misconception, society perceives entrepreneurs as revenue driven. Before currency existed, people only acted using reciprocity, a characteristic of human nature. In these situations, items would be traded and both parties would be satisfied. For example, if Ted were to have made leather shoes, and Bob were to have fresh furs from his late night hunt, the two would trade not only the items but their skills used to obtain them in order to make living easier. However, the introduction of currency changed not only the system to obtain goods, but also changed the system of reciprocity. With currency, items are sold for their projected worth. However, the person selling this item gets to determine this, which causes many products to be overpriced. This shifts the system of reciprocity by creating a new concept of worth that entails a whole list of qualifications including both labor and materials. Role of Manager in Decision Making-Free-Samples for Students

Question: Discuss about the Role of Manager in Decision Making. Answer: Introduction Decision making process is the vital process of the manager in every organization. I am working with large Australian Pharmaceutical Corporation. My team developed a new vaccine and I believe it can treat a virus hastily spreading in West Africa. I will argue for the thesis statement, Decision making process for sharing the experimental vaccine with the health worker in West Africa. As a manager of the Australian Pharmaceutical Corporation, I believe that experimental vaccine should be sent to West African organization for the welfare of people. The essay will cover the decision making process with eight steps with the help of it I can analyze the decision in the context of supporting people of South Africa. The major role of manager is in decision making process and he is liable to take decision in effective manner. The eight steps of decision making progress is mentioned below which will be helpful to take the decision for sharing the vaccine. The first step of decision making process is recognition of the problem which explains the problems within the organization. It is considered as the most vital step of the decision making process because it facilitates manager to recognize the issues within an organization in sophisticated manner (Hecker, 2010). In the case study, the main concern of the management is to take the decision whether to supply the vaccine to West Africa organization or not. It has been analyzed that health worker of West Africa demands for experimental vaccine for those people who are infected from virus. I have gone through with entire scenario and analyzed that vaccine has experimented on the body of Chimpanzee which provided positive result. It has evaluated that the working body of the chimpanzee and the human being are similar (Husted Allen, 2008). So in the initial process of decision making, the problem was clear that whether to provide vaccine to West Africa organization or not. The second step of the decision making process is to analyze the problem in sophisticated manner so that the systematic analysis can be done in an efficient manner. It covers mainly three principles such as the importance of the decision, the influence of decision on other functions and the zone of the business (Nguyen and Profit, 2016). In the case study, it has beenevaluated that the concern is that the use of vaccine is suitable or not (Lpez-Ruiz, Bergillos Ortega-Snchez, 2016). By analyzing the issues, it has been recommended that the organization of West Africa will examine the result of vaccine by testing and after that it will move further and provide the facility to people in wider manner. The third concept or step of the decision making process is developing alternative solutions. It defines that the manager needs to review relevant concept the ethical consideration which will define the requirement (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2013 The step of analyzing the issues will define the goals and objectives of the company which would be helpful for the employee of the company to follow the guidelines in proper manner. This step involves guidelines or instruction on the basis of which the manager can compare the taken decision. Guidelines will be helpful for judging the result sought by the management. It is important for the Australian pharmaceutical to consult with the health workers of the Australia. They can take the permission from the higher authorities and work under their observation (Tenbrunsel Smith?Crowe, 2008). It will be good decision for the Australian Pharmaceutical because they will give permission after analyzing efficiently. So if any proble m arises the higher authority will be helpful to give guidance for improvement. Summarizing, this step is entirely followed by the manager in an adequate manner. Figure 1: Decision making process Source: (Othman, 2011). The fourth step of the decision making process is regarding the first step of process that is selecting the better option of alternatives to take decision. It is helpful to resolve the issues by providing alternative in the solution. It involves higher risk in this process; it is worth for the Australian Pharmaceutical. The manager of the organization is entirely liable to take the decision regarding alternative options. I would like to recommend to the organization to keep backup plan or medicine if the provided vaccine to West Africa does not work well. It would be the alternative action of reaction which reduces the risk of the organization. Along with that it is the duty of the management to evaluate the results of vaccine. It is required for the manager of the organization to take decision after evaluating the pros and cons of the alternative decision (Elwyn, et.al., 2014). In brief this step is facilitated to the management of the organization to have the alternative options if the vaccine examination on the human gets failed. In the next step of decision making which include the progress of the evaluation criteria based on objectives of the organization. It is considered as the fifth step of the organization. It has been analyzed that the business can progress constantly if it fulfills the requirement of legal and ethical obligation of the company (Phillips, Fletcher, Marks and Hine, 2016). These obligations can be fulfilled in accurate manner if the manager of the organization is able to analyze the working style of the lower management and can have ability to make amendment in their work style as per the requirement; it would be helpful for the organization to take decision in definite way (Kaner, 2014). It has been analyzed through case study that the main concern is to sent vaccine West Africa for curing the persons who are infected by virus or not. In this process manager have to implement the decision and for executing the manager need to meet with health workers and analyze the condition in the for m of geographical, demographic and impacted people by virus in West Africa. After that only preferable and requirement choice should be chosen. As the manager of the company, it is my responsibility to evaluate the entire aspects regarding vaccine so that no one get impacted adversely due to bad impacts of it and possible actions could be taken in case of requirement in future. It is the next step of the decision making process which involves the decision of choosing best alternative options for implementing the decision in the organization. While considering the all alternative options it is required for the manager to opt for best one and evaluate that which one would be effective and keeping higher degree of succession. As it is mentioned in earlier step that the decision will be influenced by the goals and objectives of the company and the management will have a backup plan for vaccine regarding failure test on the human of vaccine (Goetsch and Davis, 2014). The combination of the alternative plan can be observed in the decision making process by the manager. So, as per case study the manager should evaluate all options in the ethical point of view and examine all the facts regarding the vaccines which areappealing to buy the vaccine and then take the appropriate decision to sell the vaccine to them or not. From the above discussion, it would be unproble matic for the manager to know about the result that the vaccines should be sent for infected people by virus in West Africa or not. The seven step of ethical decision making process in the organization involves the procedure of implementing the chosen decision in the organization. For instance, if the decision of management is decided to do not send vaccine in West Africa would be the best option for the company and the people of West Africa then they not sell it to them. But if they consider the outcome of the vaccine in positive term than it can be sent to the West Africa for curing the infected persons from virus. So whatever the decision of the company but it should be done in the favor of people and under this process the management of the company should initiate the plan (Govindan, Rajendran, Sarkis and Murugesan, 2015). Being the manager I believe that sending the vaccine to the people of West Africa after having backup plan can be the good decision but it should be done under observation of the health worker association of Australia and should be tested on human with under surveillance of the medical heal th care team. The final step of the decision making process is including the process of validation of solution against the statement of problem. It is the step which says that the management of the organization should evaluate the taken decision and compare it with other alternative options. It is required for the management of the company to evaluate the possible outcomes of the implemented plan and potential actions shouldbe ready in order on emergency terms so that in case of requirement the possible actions can be taken in adequate manner (Pettigrew, 2014). After monitoring, it has been resulted that the vaccine can be sent to the West Africa because it has been tested in Australia at once, secondly there is a ratio of people prevailing in Africa who are infected with virus. At last, there is no other alternative excluding this vaccine which can use to cure the virus. Thus, the manager shall sell the vaccine to the West African association. Conclusion It has been concluded that the management of the organization should take appropriate decision for sending experimental vaccine for preventing virus to the people of West Africa. The ethical decision making process has been selected for taking decision by manager in a systematic way and step to step. There is a lot of importance of decision making process in the management such as facing problems and challenges, business growth, attaining objectives and enhance efficiency References Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2013, Prevention and control of seasonal influenza with vaccines.Recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices--United States, 2013-2014MMWR, Recommendations and reports: Morbidity and mortality weekly report. As a matter of fact, irrespective of the level of knowledge and understanding of research facets, literature versions are inclusive of literature tools such as metaphors. Literature comparison is about enjoying the phrases, feeling the narrat or’s words in action, imagining, and placing oneself in the writer’s shoes. Writings with consistent assumptions and symbolic insinuation add comprehensiveness to sentence structures or phrases with hidden meaning. Thus, this reflective treatise analyses the theme of triangulated desires in the books â€Å"Pride and Prejudice† and â€Å"Sense and Sensibility†. The pieces dwell much on marriage and its holistic perception which is influenced by race, gender, family relationships and social status. The books show how an individual’s sense of identity is vulnerable to manipulation by others of higher social class. Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility Jane Austen (1775-1817) relied heavily in a balance of irony, realism, and parody in her genre to present a distinct literary style in depicting different societal setups. Through use of irony, Austen was successful in addressing hypocrisy that was dominant in the 18th century in the theme of tri angulated desires. This themes form the foundations upon which the societies at that time were built. It resonates across generations since its influence is inherent. Triangulated desires as a theme touch on identity crisis, tradition, manipulation, and marriage. As observed, Austen’s society is deeply rooted in their culture and is inflexible to accommodate modernity. They view such ideas as alien with no bearing in their lives.Advertising Looking for essay on british literature? Let's see if we can help you! Austen then endea vors to expose these excesses of female and male ‘homosocial’ and formative desire bonds which climax in either marriage dissolution or final resolution. In addressing this theme, Austen uses ‘homosocial’ desires privilege to authenticate female possibilities in marriage institution. She proceeds to recuperate to different degrees of patriarchal symbolism on gender-class system. The Theme of Triangulated Desires â€Å"Pride and Prejudice† In the text â€Å"Pride and Prejudice†, Austen presents a relationship between Darcy and Bingley as that filled with unending triangulated desires. The ‘steady friendship’ between Darcy and Bingley is a reflection of a powerful visible ‘homosocial’ bond that immediately sparkled at Meryton ball during their first meeting (Austen 1995, p.10). Despite Bingley’s superior social class, Darcy is worn out in strong jealously when the latter enjoys a dance with â€Å"the only handso me girl in the room† (Austen 1995, pp. 6-7). Reflectively, this indifference displayed by Darcy is more than coincidental fancy but an unending desire to hold Bingley in her arms. Darcy proceeds to dance with Bingley’s favorite friend Jane. The erotic triangle between Darcy and Bingley is based on unending ‘homosocial’ desires with Jane being the mediating figure in romance. In this aspect, it is apparent that Darcy would be happier to dance with Bingley instead of dancing besides him holding a heterosexual figure. Since this opinion doesn’t not process, it is apparent that the desires of Darcy are not met. To balance an undying desire and ‘homosocial’ ego, Darcy proceeds to dance with Bingley’s sisters besides openly spurring Elizabeth’s dance offer claiming that â€Å"I am in an honor at present to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted by other men (Austen 1995, pp. 6-7). This is a reaction sentiment Darcy is displaying after feeling slighted by his superior ‘heterosocial’ friend’s currency. In doing so, a reader can identify the lose end competitive logic for triangulated desires between two grown men who belong to different social classes. Macpherson (2003) asserts,Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More In any erotic rivalry, the bond that links the two rivals is as intense and potent as the bond that links either of the rivals to the beloved†¦ the bonds of â€Å"rivalry† and â€Å"love,† differently as they are experienced, are equally powerful and in many cases equivalent†¦ not by the qualities of the beloved, but by the beloved’s already being the choice of the person who has been chosen as a rival (21). Besides the hidden desires at dance party, Darcy becomes an obstacle in the intended u nion between Bingley and Jane. Darcy’s desire for Bingley has totally blinded him and he confesses that â€Å"I have no wish of denying that I did everything in my power to separate my friend from your sister, or that I rejoice in my success† (Austen 1995, p. 130). When confessing that Jane â€Å"want of connection could not be so great an evil to my friend as to me,† Darcy with ease â€Å"preserve his friend from†¦ a most unhappy connection,† stating â€Å"other causes of repugnance† as the â€Å"total want of propriety so frequently, so almost uniformly betrayed† by the family of Jane (Austen 1995, pp. 134–35). The theme of triangulated desires is presented in the possessive jealousy of a ‘homosocial’ Darcy whose desire for Bingley cannot allow him to let go of the fantasy he has for him. Despite this desire, Darcy composes a passionate letter to Bingley to make a confession of a failed union between him and Elizab eth. In an interesting turn of events, the triangulated desires of Darcy lands on Lydia who is saved from social abjection of being unfit for marriage. Macpherson asserts, Darcy saves Lydia not because he cares about Lydia or about the Bennets—not even because he cares about Elizabeth. Elizabeth acknowledges that Darcy had â€Å"done this for a girl whom he could neither regard nor esteem†Ã¢â‚¬ ¦ but it turns out that Darcy saves Lydia because he feels himself, without having â€Å"schemed to do wrong,† to be accountable for Wickham (16). Darcy is fully responsible for the reprehensible actions displayed by Wickam. In fact, he admits this as inspired by ‘homosocial’ desire competition. As a result, Darcy â€Å"becomes the better man in ‘homosocial’ competition with Wickham, and successfully routes his triangulated ‘homosocial’ desire through the â€Å"heterosexual detour† of marriage in the novel’s curiously anticlimactic denouement† (Macpherson, 2003, p.15).Advertising Looking for essay on british literature? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More After a long struggle, Darcy detours his ‘homosocial’ investments in Bingley and Wickham and is presented as a better person after reviving Elizabeth’s and Jane’s marriage plots. As a result, the new status position Darcy as a superior male among the three males with triangulated desires for ‘homosocial’ clandestine. Elizabeth is described as an essentially masculine person because of her unladylike affection for Jane. Austen asserts â€Å"very nonsensical to come at all! Why must she be scampering about the country, because her sister had a cold† (Austen 1995, pp. 21-23). Elizabeth’s homoerotic excesses towards her sister Jane paint her as part of the hidden ‘heterosocial’ society. Reflectively, integrating this in the theme of triangulated desires introduces physical and emotional insistent which is climaxed in momentous fulfillment achievement. Elizabeth is described severally as ‘feeling really anxious†™ and face glowing in presence of the sister more than it should be for sisterly love. Her motivation towards showing concerns to Jane may be classified as a heterosexual courtship with Jane being the sole object of ultimate destination. These desires towards a female of same family indicate an implicit ‘homosocial’ inclination in the romantic chivalry described as unfeminine. Interestingly, these manly features make the ‘homosocial’ Darcy attracted to Elizabeth (Austen 1995, p. 24). â€Å"Sense and Sensibility† Literature is a passionate subject that requires originality when reading through it. Originality is an essential thing required to improve the manner in which we view the narration and understand it. As a matter of fact, from the external focus, a reader can connect the previous arguments in the text â€Å"Pride and Prejudice† and â€Å"Sense and Sensibility† since two have same theme of triangulated desires. Austen is more p hilosophical in her writing of the book â€Å"Sense and Sensibility† than in the book â€Å"Pride and Prejudice†. Though the plot is built in a conservative society, unending desires separate Marianne and Willoughby, who loses her to Colonel Brandon. The theme of hidden and recurring desires control the lives of main character in this wobbly plot. This aspect is narrow and creates an essence of assuming a static plot setting. This is a wise way to maintain the literature touch, making it simpler to understand. In this narration, that is, â€Å"Sense and Sensibility† the author has created a quantifiable and intrinsic reader understanding of what metaphoric use on a character was about and the resultant effect created. Marianne is presented as an intelligent, frank, loving, and musically talented (Austen, 1996). Willoughby is a man of many faults who is appreciative of Marianne and deeply loves her. However, the desire for class and economic power pushes Marianne to exchange marriage vows with crude Colonel. Desires to own a home and forms the main driving force for different character traits exposed by Austen. Across the text, home is presented as the ideal landmark, a beloved place, and a treasure defining happiness. Love without a home is but a fantasy. Though things are falling apart, owing a home to the Dashwood sisters is an accomplishment of triangulated desires. Many characters such as the Steeles, Edward and Willoughby are haunted by the unfulfilled desire to own a roof over their heads. Despite having a shelter, they don’t have land and are considered loosely hanging in the conventional society (Austen, 1996, p. 34). Reflectively, achievement of desired object symbolized good sense. On the other hand, disillusionment is as a result of underscoring on desires and depending on emotions. In her endeavor to achieve her desires, Elinor is patient enough to subject her observation to deep scrutiny before passing judgment. Besides , Colonel Brandon loves Marianne and knows the virtue of rational proclamations in the quest to fulfill the desires of marrying her. Unlike Willoughby, Colonel Brandon is careful when expressing his feelings towards Marianne. In this instance, good judgment and final marriage between the two is as a result of patience in the quest for desires. Though Mrs. Dashwood thinks highly of Willoughby, she is worried by his lack of good judgment and caution. This worry is also directed towards Colonel Brandon’s feelings for the fragile Marianne. Austen (1996) wrote, On every formal visit a child ought to be of the party, by way of provision for discourse. In the present case it took up ten minutes to determine whether the boy were most like his father or mother, and in what particular he resembled either, for of course everybody differed, and everybody was astonished at the opinion of the others (p 38). In my view, without the theme of desire, these writings would be similar to watchin g a movie with no camera effects, no sound effects, and with unknown characters as the only aim is passing a message. In Austen’s use of the desires as a theme, she succeeds in characterizing the powerful in the society and the weaker ones in their desire to find love, maintain marriages, and climb economic ladder. The patriarchal society is painted as unfair to the female members of the society. In quest to fulfill desires, the male members of these societies share same attitude towards females. Interestingly, the wall limiting desires in both texts is an unending phenomenon which cannot be destroyed. Instead of focusing on either antagonistic or protagonist stand, the narrator present a brief on both sides. She is comprehensive on presenting a quantifiable expository backed by a strong characterization in line with the main theme in the book. Consistent use of this theme more than once alongside other literary devises has made the two main characters, that is, Marianne and Darcy stand out as a protagonist verses an antagonist in a battle to satisfy ego and undying desires. However, at the end of the struggle, the spontaneous desire hits the wall for both characters. Marianne ends up married to Colonel Brandon to the dismay of many readers in the text â€Å"Sense and Sensibility†. The same fate faces Darcy who loses Bingley to Jane despite series of attempts to attract Bingley’s attention. Triangulated desires stops reasoning and slower people from examining the limits of pragmatic possibilities necessary for psychological reconciliation. Fortunately, the self regulating society seems to offer a facilitated explanation for mutual support. Austen has imposed the above thought as an expression to resonate on the need for better life and communicate past negative experiences. Austen suggests that the process of appreciating the social power as a power of the people enables the society to function coherently within minimal tension, despite ha ving different desires. Austen pushes for personal conviction as the basis of the ideal fundamental social norms that minimizes conflict in the process of creating a systematic orientation for fulfilling desires. In presenting the theme of triangulated desires, the author characterizes personal identity as a component of realism. Recognizing aspects of loyalty, moral crisis, honor, and revenge, Austen gives her story a lifeline of a typical society filled by personal interests. She creates a human action drama that combines stories of self-discovery and love. Austen convincingly mingles the ‘futuristic’ and the ‘realistic’ imaginations of the then naà ¯ve society. The theme of triangulated desire is relevant in the contemporary society where difference between unity and hatred is defined by a thin line of personal interests. In most cases, the losers remain to wallow in regret as winners blow trumpet. The driving force towards triangulating desires remains to be family, love and the need to belong. Despite these desires, the society as a bond unites different personalities and these desires often remain hidden within a person. As a matter of fact, love remains to be the sole dictator of human desires. The degree of jealousy often determines an individual’s ability to arrest unbecoming desires. In conclusion, the two texts, â€Å"Sense and Sensibility† and â€Å"Pride and Prejudice† share connections in the plot and theme of triangulated desires. The texts are able to vividly and convincingly present the unending desires. However, they end up in different circumstantial incidences. Acknowledged by many authors as homosocial culturally embedded female writer, Austen presents an experimental imagination of deep heterosexual relationships. Across the two novels, women are displayed as victims of the triangulated desires. References Austen, J. (1995). Pride and Prejudice. New York: Dover. Austen, J. (1996). Capital One- Conduct an External Environmental Analysis Essays

Capital One- Conduct an External Environmental Analysis Essays Capital One- Conduct an External Environmental Analysis Essay Capital One- Conduct an External Environmental Analysis Essay Capita. Philip Friedman Business Administration Capstone BUS 499 3/04/2010 Conduct an External Environmental Analysis, and identify key environmental forces that have Immediate strategic Implications for Capital One. The key environmental forces that could have Immediate strategic Implications for Capitol One in my opinion will stem from the following segments; Coloratura, Political, Economic. To date the economy isnt in good condition, people are being laid off, companies are going belly up, and families across the nation are being kicked out of here homes by the very companies that are responsible for the state of the economy. Despite the very well known troubles the middle class faces bill collectors do not let up, regardless of years worth of on time payments and loyalty. With legislation becoming Involved recently in tactics utilized by credit card companies new laws have been passed reflecting a growing discomfort amongst the public. Early in 2005 The Minnesota state attorney generals office had sued Capital One, claiming it is misleading consumers with promises of fixed interest rates, then hiking their tastes as much as 400 percent (Sullivan, Bob. 2005. Capital One sued over marketing practices. Para This situation alone ties in the above mentioned segments. People are rued of It, especially anyone who has had to deal with the misfortune. You learn quickly who most concerned about the customer. The economy Is bad; the people are feeling powerless, abused, and uneasy. Thats bad business. I think that people are going to be very selective as to who they create financial relations with from here on out. Who ever respond most ethical with true flexibility will win out in the end in arrest share. Its my belief that the mass has begun to do their home work on who is who and what is what, Its about time. I was laid off In 0112010 and have learned what companies actually treat you well In the face of financial disaster versus those who suddenly treat you with contempt once Its realized you cant make a full payment. I do believe this will carry over with many consumers. Conduct an Internal Environmental Analysis, and identify the capabilities and weaknesses within Capital One that have immediate strategic implications. One of Capital Ones internal weaknesses is its annual expenditures on advertising fees in comparison to the companys major competitors. In 2004 Capital One spent $285 million and then another $5. 4 million on advertisements that 30% of a poll taken TLD even care for while 12% liked it a lot, many professionals gave the opinion that much of the profits have been consumed by marketing ((Hit, M. , Ireland, D. Hoskings, R. 2009. Peg. 70). Capital Ones large collection of sub prime customers also shows itself as a weakness. During the recession of 2001 2004 and new laws coming to light concerning the declaration of personal bankruptcy Capital One decided to stop depending on sub prime customers as teen are more Kelly to declare Attendance or adult on payments. The tightening of controls combined with the cut back of dependency on sub par customers caused Capital One to suffer a smaller profit margin, raising interest rates, and a 40% drop in its shares (Hit, M. , et. L. 2009. Peg. 71). Capital Ones internal capabilities consist of its on the mark acquisitions and technology. The rising strategy used relies on its Information Based Strategy (BIBS). According to Wackiness (2010): Capital Ones acquisitions also prove to be on time with their strategy, enabling them to break into new markets, countries with companies that support the ideas they already have rolling out. They have bought companies in the UK such as Hibernia, Auto dealership finances like Onyx in California, and Merrier who is in the orthodontist industry in the states. The CEO of Capital One, Fairbanks, all of the acquisitions are a natural extension of the diversification strategy they have en pursuing for some time, stating the strengths of each company compliment each other (Hit, M. , et. Al. 2009. Peg. 71). Define Capital Ones business-level and corporate-level strategies, and evaluate their potential for continued success. Evaluate the strategic fit of Capital Ones recent acquisitions. Describe the key strategic issues raised by the companys acquisition strategy. The related acquisition of Hibernia leaves Capital One in a position to gain providing they can break and make ground in Texas. The acquisition will provide them with greater arrest power, and it saves them the time of gaining ground in TX being that Hibernia has already taken to that project, they need only cultivate it with the use of BIBS and business strategy. Hibernia brick and mortar branches, 109, will be used as a launching pad for marketing its various offers and BIBS technique (Hit, M. Et. Al. 2009. Peg. 69). The purchase of Onyx and Merrier, Capital One has Jumped the barrier entry fence in to auto financing, enabling them to provide more info into the BIBS so that they can cultivate that business unit also as they will do with Merrier information. The strategy they seem to be employing is buying companies that either gains them access into new markets or is doing well in a market they already have a stake in. The cross boarder Acquisition of Huffs allows them to rapidly enter the market without learning about the local institutional barriers on its own, though I dont imagine many exist between the I-J and America, I believe we are on the same page. Nonetheless the purchase was to strengthen its Global Financial services subsidiary in the British market (Hit, M. , et. Al. 2009. Peg. 65). There arent many issues that are active for Capital one raised by its acquisitions, they seem well calculated, and conservative, meaning they arent out buying things up Just to be beefy, lean and precise seed mot the goal with their acquisitions.

Virtual lab #3 Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words

Virtual lab #3 - Assignment Example The three slides were observed severally and the number of species counted and recorded. Paramecium caudatum reached the carrying capacity of the environment on the 10th day when grown alone. To support the claim, the species attained its highest count on that day. The species attained a maximum number of 60. After the 10th day, the species did not grow any further due to the limited resources in its environment. Infact, the species population started to diminish the following days. However, the species died off after mixing with Paramecium caudatum to share the same ecological niche. On the other hand, Paramecium aurelia reached its population capacity of the enviroment on the 8th day. On the 8th day, the species attained a maximum number of 98 organisms. When grown alone, the species recorded its highest count on this specific day. It maintained the same number count for the next days. On the other hand, it had a slightly lesser count when mixed with Paramecium caudatum. In this case, it had a muximum number on the 12th day. The differences in population growth patterns between the two species results from the way each individual species utilizes its available resources. In this case, Paramecium caudatum utilizes more resources hence resulting to a lower population count. However, Paramecium aurelia has a high population count because each individual organism utilizes lesser available resources when gown alone. According to the principle of competitive exclusion, thwo or more species competing for the same available resources cannot co-exist in the same environment keeping other factors constant. When mixed in the same test tube, Paramecium aurelia survived while Paramecium caudatum died off. In this scenaio, Paramecium aurelia had the advantage of survival and high population growth rate. As demonstrated in this experiment, no two species can occupy the same ecological niche keeping other factors constant. As a result, one species will have an
